To support the advancement of a student pursuing a career in healthcare administration, Mercy Health is sponsoring a Master’s of Health Services Administration (MHSA) Graduate Program. This program offers the opportunity to work hands-on with a preceptor who will guide your educational activities in coordination with the program, and offer unique exposure to the healthcare administration field. Opportunities are currently available for Administrative Residents to gain valuable experience by undertaking an array of projects on an individual and team basis in a wide range of areas, such as: Human Resources, Governance & Compliance, Marketing & Communications, Finance, Information Technology, Operations, Medical Group Management, Hospital Administration and Senior Health & Housing.

Responsibilities: . Participate in projects as assigned, including selecting an appropriate Master’s project topic . Participate actively in management and clinical departmental programs to ensure thorough knowledge of all functional areas . Attend board, medical staff and management committee meetings . Submit a preceptor-approved residency plan the to the faculty advisor in accordance with the established critical path . Prepare and submit, through the preceptor, all reports required by the facility and/or the graduate program
